I know we cant eat fried chicken all the time so here is another spin.
I decided not to do any dialog because the video is pretty self explanatory. But I did add in some dramatic music and comedy.
Ingredients for this recipie:
Lemmon and Pepper Salt (on chicken)
Poultry Seasoning (on chicken)
The chicken was cooked on a medium heat for about 30 minutes.
Probably my favorite food of all time. *** Fried Chicken***
I have tried all of the big names like KFC, Mr. Chicken, Popeye’s, etc. And while they are all pretty good, nothing beats homemade fried chicken. The best I ever had was in New Orleans…
Three years ago I was in New Orleans working as a contractor for a cable company, re-installing peoples cable after Hurricane Katrina. I went to this one house that took me all day to install. The guy who owned said, “I’d like to tip you for working so hard all day but I dont have any money on me. Can I cook you dinner?”
And of course I said yes.
He made fried chicken with corn on the cob, and we had a few beers while he cooked.
It was one of my favorite memories of being in New Orleans. He was a really nice guy and the chicken was the best I had ever eaten.
In the video below, I tried to replicate how he made it. It is as close to his recipe that I can get… For the life of me I cant remember what kind of seasoning he used.
This video was made around Christmas time of 2009.
As you’ll see in the video, all you need is (2) Chicken Breasts, (1) egg, (1-2) cups of flour, your favorite seasoning, and frying oil.
This ended up costing about 1.50$ per plate (including vegetables and rice).
